Per-twang Entertainment has been the trading name of our family business since 2009 when we changed the name from entertainisa.com, a name that reflected our previous location. Per-twang being the cartoon word for a stretching elastic being released fitted the fun we wanted the business to be and the rubbery balloon art that helped build the business.
Now based in Cobar NSW our commitment to entertaining in regional Australia has not diminished nor has our drive for new productions. We still support our old favourites Baron Twist'n'pop the balloon artist and clown and Joumana the Bellydancer but have added to this stable a DJ and Karaoke outfit as well as audio equipment and lighting suitable for setting up a band in clubs and small to medium stages (complete with mixer, electronic drums and electric piano).
In the not to distant future we will launch a stilt puppet act and we are working on a series of pantomimes for 6 players. These acts will be aimed at off-stage and roving performance needing little to no infrastructure to be performed.
There is no telling where future development of our entertainment offerings will take us but you can be assured there are no end of ideas.
Per-twang has for many years offered workshops to suit a number of requirements and we have run workshops from 1 hour to 5 days long. The advantage of grant or sponsor funded workshops, when tied to our entertainment, is that they offset the costs related to transport and accommodation. Though this option is still available to event organisers, making our entertainment more affordable has long been a goal of the business. To this end we have now developed a retail business aimed at events and markets allowing us to offsetting site costs against transport and accommodation reducing the need for grants or sponsorship.
Our workshops and entertainments can be tailored to our clients needs while our entertainment pricing is both cheap and capped to make it more affordable.
